Yoga Retreat

 

At Hotel Faaborg Fjord, you can unplug and immerse yourself in a special yoga retreat with the fjord as your closest neighbour. The weekend is led by two dedicated professionals: sauna master Thomas Banche and yoga instructor Cassandra Larsen, who together create a sensual atmosphere.

The programme combines Yin and Yang yoga, meditation, breathing techniques, spa experiences and sauna sessions, helping you gradually find peace, presence and inner balance. No previous experience is required. The retreat is open to anyone who wants to invest in their own well-being and return home with renewed energy.

Thomas Banche 

You can look forward to sauna sessions with Thomas Banche, who, with his experience as a sauna master, creates deep relaxation and balance for both body and mind. With a background as a self-employed person in a hectic everyday life, Thomas himself has felt the need for a space to unwind, and this is precisely what he conveys through his therapeutic and sensory sauna sessions.

Thomas works with essential oils, gentle drum rhythms and the scent of incense to create a holistic experience that calms, renews and brings participants closer to themselves. His calm and attentive approach makes every sauna session a safe place to find inner peace and new energy.

Cassandra Larsen

Body SDS Body Therapist, Breathing Coach, Yin Yoga and Yang Yoga Mindfulness Instructor

Cassandra Larsen 

You can look forward to lessons from Cassandra Larsen, an experienced and holistic therapist who has had her own clinic since 2014. Cassandra is a trained Body SDS body therapist and has worked passionately with diet, cleansing, fasting and anti-inflammatory nutrition for more than three decades.

She has held courses and retreats in Spain in collaboration with medical specialists and, over the years, has specialised in conscious breathing with over 100 hours of training. In addition, she is a certified instructor in both Yin and Yang Yoga as well as mindfulness at Cathrine Yoga, and she teaches yoga daily.

At the retreat, you will experience   

The retreat offers a nourishing and balanced combination of yoga, tranquillity and self-care supported by sauna, ice baths and essential oils. You can look forward to in-depth Yin Yoga, a harmonious blend of Yang and Yin, calming breathing exercises, meditation and mindfulness. Detox for both body and mind with nourishing, cleansing vegetarian food prepared by Thomas Pasfall.

The practicalities 

Remember to bring swimwear, slippers and yoga clothes. Check-in is from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and check-out is by 11 a.m. Allergens must be disclosed upon registration.

16.00-18.00 - Welcome and Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga involves long, deep and gentle stretches of the body. Each position is held for 3-5 minutes so that your body has the opportunity to 'melt' and become soft.

18.30 - Dinner in the Brasserie
From 20.00-22.00 - Gentle saunas and ice tubs

Saturday

From 8.00 am - Morning showers and ice cream tubs
  • A good start to the day with fresh and invigorating essential oils

Healthy shots. Hot water with lemon and ginger.

10.30 - Breathing, meditation and yoga

Herbal tea

12.15 pm - Private time
  • Relax 
  • Have lunch at the Brasserie 
  • Visit the spa and experience the infrared light to boost your detox
