We believe that dining experiences are part of a good stay. The hotel has two restaurants. The Brasserie is the hotel's informal meeting place. Here you can enjoy good food in an atmospheric setting. Everything is prepared from scratch using the best seasonal ingredients. Horseløkke, which is temporarily closed, is our fine dining restaurant, where we pamper you with exquisite taste experiences, an intimate atmosphere and sublime craftsmanship.

Faaborg is one of Denmark's oldest market towns, located with the South Funen Archipelago in its front garden and the Svanninge Hills in its back garden. The town offers café life, small specialty shops and cobbled streets. In summer, the streets are adorned with flowering hollyhocks, creating a cosy atmosphere. Faaborg is easy to explore on foot and has plenty of great places to eat, enjoy a cup of coffee or go exploring.

Hotel Faaborg Fjord is located by the fjord and close to Faaborg town centre, where cafés, speciality shops and a charming town centre make it easy to explore. You can also take a short drive to Odense or Egeskov Castle, which attracts 270,000 visitors every year. Or explore the South Funen Archipelago and the islands of Bjørnø, Avernakø, Drejø, Ærø, Skarø, Hjortø and Lyø. The islands are ideal for day trips for those who want to experience nature, culture and small local communities.
Hotel Faaborg Fjord
A modern gem with a touch of history
The history of Hotel Faaborg Fjord began in 1808, when a young man built Røde Kro. The inn quickly became popular with both travellers and locals. In 1914, new buildings were erected on the site, including the charming Villa Horseløkke, which still stands today and reminds us of a bygone era. Over the years, the site has served many purposes, from agriculture and summer guesthouse to bicycle repair shop and service station.
In 1960, Peter Horn purchased the site and transformed the service station into a recreational area. In 1981, the hotel officially opened and quickly became a popular destination for both holidaymakers and locals.
Since then, the hotel has evolved under new owners and with new visions. In 2020, the hotel underwent extensive renovation and was equipped with modern facilities, a spa and wellness centre, and conference rooms. Today, the hotel combines history with modern comfort, gastronomy and exceptional experiences.
We have 126 rooms and 2 suites, all with their own balcony or terrace and modern amenities. The rooms are furnished with a focus on quality and thoughtful details, so you can relax, enjoy the peace and quiet, and feel at home from the moment you arrive.
